This is an interesting post. I went to my local fish and chip shop recently only to be told that they were no longer able to give away their WVO because of a EPA law (as of 08/06/2008) mandating that they give their oil to the recyclers. I'm not sure if I was fed this line so that everyone else who was getting their WVO from here would have competition or perhaps the oil recycling people had told them that they could no longer give their oil to who ever they wanted. Either way, it sounded (and still sounds) like rubbish.
