I have no problem with the fact I am in this for "personal gain" as you put it.
The welfare of my family becomes before the welfare of anyone else's. To reverse the situation, I would think anyone else that put the welfare of MY family before their own was neglecting their own kin and in fact rather strange.

I am not interested in helping others discover Veg fuels, saving the whales, gorillas or any other noble cause, although that does not mean I am against those that want to commit themselves to these various causes. ( well the last 2 anyway )
I see no benefit in undermining the advantages of the knowledge I have discovered and worked hard at learning what allows my family to enjoy things they may not be ale to otherwise, and certainly I am not going to do anything that will ruin this.
If anyone thinks that is selfish, I'll console myself with the looks my kids give me when I am able to do the little things to spoil them that I would not be able to do if I weren't using veg for fuel.

Despite the high moral ground that is often preached in forums about spreading the veg oil word, the reality is that very, very few of the people I know that are veg oil users do want to tell the world about it and the great majority are happy to keep very quiet and for some good and very real,valid reasons.
While some may condemn this and voice their disapproval, The people I personally know that want to keep quiet are some of the most generous, selfless, helpful and most decent people I have ever come across in my life and I am honored to be able to call them my friends. In consideration of this, what the hell do I care about those that would berate their position?

Those that want to lambast their beliefs and desire to keep their knowledge to themselves for their own benefit are wasting their breath on not just me, but all of these other fine people as well.

While once I too would have wanted to show how clever I was by correcting those that have the wrong idea of veg fuels. In doing that however, I discovered it was much a pointless exercise anyway particularly with people like mechanics and others that have been doing something for 20 years and "know" what they are talking about.
Things do and have changed and now I realise the smart thing for me to do is keep my mouth shut and let the misguided think and preach whatever it is they are determined to believe.
