Tony,
I was using a QB80. I think the problem was the angle of the taper and I got the inlet port in the wrong place. This was mainly because of the hand beating of the copper. On a second attempt I think I would try using hard drawn copper with just a small section in the middle softened. Also having some sort of roller system would make it easier to get right. It is quite time consuming and frustrating as part of me just wanted to hit it harder to get it to the correct shape quicker.
I plan on having another go one day.
