Guys,

I started collecting oil last winter and cold filtered it all then and stored it in a 1000 litre IBC - all good - it has had about 6 months to settle and that is what i have been using during this summer.

My concern comes with the oil that i am collecting an filtering now - this is slowly filling my next IBC - currently at about 700 litres - but i do not want to use this until it has settled for a much longer period.

When i get back to the cold months - will the HMPs that have gotten through during this warm weather just sink to the bottom of the tank and sit there (thermal movement issues removed from the picture) or will these remain in suspension and give me grief in my onboard filters etc ?

Up until now i have not been filtering before adding the oil from storage (already filtered to 1 micron) into the car, but i guess this is something that i may have to contemplate when the colder weather returns ?
