Welcome to the biodiesel game!
I made a processor entirely of scrap and discarded 20litre cans, and use a power drill with a paint stirrer to do the mixing (lid with small holes for the stirrer and thermometer). I run a fan across my workspace to disperse the potentially dangerous vapours so I'm not breathing them, and to minimise the risk of ignition.
I have near enough to zero chemical knowledge, and have taken the kindly advice of people like Peda on this forum, to get started.
I have purchased a portable electric hob to do the heating, measuring flasks, eye droppers, and a thermometer, some scales, and very little else.
Rough estimate - cost of about $70.
So I can make a 20litre (all up) batch. Output - circa 16-17 litres of BD.
