  • Oil collection idea

I just thought I would relate a tip for picking up used oil for anyone starting and not having a source of oil.
Generally,in Sydney, restaurants pay about $150 every 1-3 months to have their wvo removed. This wvo is picked up by a truck (4-8 tonner). The retaurants are,in most cases, tied to a contract.
If the restaurants are in an alleyway or aren't accessible by the trucks then these companies collecting the oil tend to ignore these pickups and the wvo goes out with the garbage every week. This is where we get our oil.
All you to have to do is show you are reliable.
We average 20-30 litres of used canola wvo per week from each. We have put our own 205 litre drums in place.
Life is a journey, with problems to solve, lessons to learn, but most of all, experiences to enjoy.
