  • Biodiesel in The Land Thursday Oct 26, 2006

There is a comment section on the very right hand side of page 21.

This comment section is titled NSW Farmers View by Richard Clark, NSW Farmers Vice President.

The main feature of the article is all about solar and wind but near the bottom of the article it goes into.

Annual crops appear to be most effcient. Biofuels and, in particular, biodiesel replaces dirty fossil fuels with a cost effective alternative which emits only half the smog of fossil diesel.
To add to the blessings, as long as are producing biofuels from plants we are also extracting CO2 from the atmosphere and getting a double deal for the enviroment.
The biofuel message is a great opportunity for farming to show it is a major part of the enviromental solution.
And as much as many of our current enviro-politicians will hate to hear it, farming will yet again prove to be the saviour of their treasured city lifestyle.

Hmm were do we sign this guy up! They would be someone to side up with to go after the GOV for things like EXCISE they would be all for it if it would mean that some of their members could change from a crop that is a problem to sell to something like an oilseed that would have a ready market for it!

Very intresting read. It is starting to get out and about in the community and media.
