Fuel return

Hi,
Does anyone have any idea how much fuel is returned to to the fuel tank on a 4.2L Turbo nissan patrol? I just want to know how long or if the fuel that is in the tank will take to warm up now the cold weather is coming.

I don't know about a turbo, but in my TD 4.2 patrol it seems that about half of the fuel is returned. (I had a 25 litre cubie sitting in the front seat for a couple of weeks supplying the injectors but initially without a return.)

The returned fuel will be warmer than when it went into the injectors but if you are counting on 1 litre every 8km of luke-warm return to heat a 90litre tank, I suggest that you take the long way home. My cubie never got hot.
