    Has anyone tried making BD from tallow and is the method the same as WCO
    I would also like to say I wish I found you guys sooner

    Hello Fireknight,
    Yes, the formula is the same and works well.

    Be aware that if you are using NaOH for the reaction there is every likelyhood that a gel will firm in the biodiesel over a few hours. This gel is caused by soap and the biodiesel will need to be washed to remove the soap which breaks the gel.
    The biodiesel made from tallow is likely to start freezing around 17deg C

    The generally accepted TLA's for the oil we use are WVO (Waste Vegetable Oil) and UCO (Used Cooking Oil).
    I personally like UFO (Used Fryer Oil)

      Thank you for your quick replt Tilly I think I will build a unit to start production as I have a endless supply of tallow thanks once again
