Forum Members,
I have arranged a source of 5 micron bag filters, of the same type as I have used for the past 7 years of veggie driving. They are a quality product which normally retail at $17.00 each. I purchase them from SEFAR, who used to be Australian Filter Specialists, at a wholesale price and can pass on the savings to members here.
This is what I am talking about:
I use them supported inside a 25 litre oil drum, with a hole cut into the top and with the sharp edges turned over, so there is no damage to the filter.
I recommend the use of a "liner" so that the filtrate can be removed from the filter easily. When the filter bag needs cleaning, remove the liner and clean the liner rather than subjecting the filter to cleaning more often than absolutely necessary.
I recommend the "cold filter" technique that separates high melting point oils from the liquid oils, so that you can have confidence that your oil will be liquid at storage temperatures ( & in your fuel tank).
If you plan to hot filter, please do not exceed 80°C as the material is not rated for temperatures much above this temperature.
I am prepared to offer 10 of them to forum members at $12.00 each, plus $5 P&P (P&P discount for 2 or more).
While I am not offering any "Free" items with them, I am prepared to offer a donation of $2 per item to the running of this forum. For free postage on the filter bags, purchase one of these heat exchangers and I will post up to 4 filter bags with the FPHE at no additional cost over the standard FPHE postage.
To register your interest in this product, please PM me with your postal details and number wanted, and I will send you payment details.
Regards,
Tony
