Last night I managed to acquire 120 litres of used veg oil from a local restaurant,
the muck is very brown full of sediment and water.
This is what I did:
Put about 1 litre of WVO in a pot and heated it on the stove, within a few mins the stuff was bubbling more than an angry Volcano.
SO, I removed the WVO from the stove and filtered it with a tea towel.
THEN I put it back on the stove at a fairly high heat and this time NO bubbles or noises were present!!!
NEXT I poured about 250ml of the clean water free WVO into a glass along with 250ml of 50/50 filtered WVO/Diesel into a 2nd glass and a 3rd glass of 250ml with the unfiltered WVO..I'm going to let them sit for a bit and see what happens
BUT, I added about 300ml of clean SVO direct to the 100litres of Diesel in my 2.8l Hilux
Doesn't sound like much but I've got BIG plans for a larger operation...
Thanks very much Gary1 form Brisbane for your very helpful and friendly chat about your experiences with used veggie - kerosene/petrol/diesel mix....
