    Re: Carboys or drums

I just went to auto service centres and asked for the drums, I came away wth a few. Some places will charge for them, but $10 each is fine for the life you get from them.

Many places poke a hole in the top, to catch oil from oil changes by putting the drum under the car and dumping the oil onto the top of the drum. Ask and you may be surprised.

they get engine oil , tranny fluid and gear oil in them.

The back of shopping centres is great for 25L carboys, as they are used for industrial detergents, soaps etc. I often pick up one or two when I'm collecting oil. Drums of various sizes can be found in many units in industrial estates. They will often give them away or sell them for $5-$10. Just drive around until you see a stack of them outside then go in and ask.

If you're still looking I can get you some 60 litre drums if you want. We punch holes in the top so any spilled oil drains back in though. There's a few empties at the moment, but there might be a bit of water in those. If you need any just shoot us a PM and I'll save the ones we empty, usually do one or two a week, both gear oil.
