  • Liquid WVO Supply

    Hi,

I had to let go of my WVO supplier because of back troubles.
    The WVO makes good Biodiesel.
If anyone would like to collect the oil you are welcome.
The restaurant is in Woodside in the Adelaide Hills and the quantity of oil available is about 20 l/month.
If you are interested send me a private email and I will give you the address.

      Neil,

      thanks for the message.
I can't lift anything at the moment but have bought a block & tackle for my garage to handle drums of filtered UCO.
I have a lever winch in my van to collect 20 l drums of UCO.
I can't lift containers with screw caps at the moment but I am receiving enough UCO for normal use from my regular supplier. They use open top pails from which I ladle the oil.
I will make Biodiesel again as soon as I can.
Adelaide was almost out of Diesel last week but I had enough Biodiesel to keep going.
      Regards,

To prevent a recurrence of your injury, perhaps you should consider a vacuum collection tank for oil collection, it should be way faster than using the ladle, and much easier on your back too. When you get home, pressurise the tank to empty it into your processor.
Pressure vessels like LPG tanks and air compressor tanks are available from scrap merchants relatively cheaply.

I wish you a speedy recovery and hope your pain reduces rapidly.

          Tony,

thanks for the advice. To pull a vacuum I would need a vacuum pump and they are not cheap. Pressurising is no problem.
The main problem is the place I collect the UCO from. I have to go through the shop to collect the oil from the kitchen. The only place to get in and out of the shop is the front door.
