    oil stains

    I spilt biodiesel on my good carhartt cotton jacket. Tried washing it twice with various stain removers. No good, and jacket was going to the work cloths bin. But, I just tried again, with 'sards oxy plus degreaser', and perfect, not a mark. Worked on WVO stains as well. Gotta be stoked!

    I will pass this on to my wife, but I doubt that I will be forgiven if I spill oil on yet another good shirt, even with a cleaning agent which works.

      Rub your byproduct (glycerol) into the stain, then wash as normal - always works for me.

        Yet another reason making bio is better than SVO. I dont have any byproduct to wash clothes in.

          Trouble with making bio is you always have too much byproduct to know what to do with! You can only make so much soap, fire bricks or floor cleaner with this stuff!

            believe it or not i'm actually out of glycerol I havent made any bio in a while and cleaning driveways, back of ute, tractors, equipment and farm grass trial has taken its toll so i have no glycerol left
            I don't know how i could afford to buy cleaning products without biodiesel in my life.

            Oh well 1st batch in the new processor should ive me another 200 odd litres of glycerol to roll in. yay.
