  • heating elements with built-in thermostats

    Hi all,
I am a new member and thanks for all the great ideas in this forum.

Hope somebody can assist me this query.

Has any of you built a reactor using screw-in type elements with built-in thermostats or know of any suppliers in Australia that can supply these.

I am after elements in the range 1200W to 2400W (240V) with 1 inch BSP thread.

              Hi There
Just hang on for a week or so I have made arrangements with a reputable manufacturer to fabricate an element with a built in thermostat
It will be a 1.1/4" bsp as 1 inch is to small a diameter the rating is 2.4 KW It will also come with a weld on threaded socket from mild steel so as one can weld the socket on the side of a tank
It should not be a problem in welding it on to a stainless steel tank either or braze
I anticipate that it would be around the $200 mark and available Aus wide
Since you are in Papua I think there is an electrical wholesaler there that should be able to supply you
I am expecting a prototype next week
              Cheers

                Blatant Commercial Plug!

Grimwood Heating Pty Ltd has joined the forum.

We have available our low cost biodiesel heater kit BDK2 for $250+GST, which comprises a 2.4kW 1 1/4IN BSP screw in element, electronic thermostat and enclosure. This requires a 1 1/4IN nozzle to be welded to the side of the container to take the element.

They can be ordered from any MMEM branch (Haymans, TLE, AWM, D&W).

                Any problems let me know...

                  Brian,

Are you selling direct or do your elements have to be bought through a distributor?
