  • NRMA's public advice on biodiesel

Just listening to Alan Evans talking on the ABC talkback and he mentioned biodiesel a few times. He stressed that the fear of ethanol among the public was eased when the NRMA came out and said it was OK. He also said that they ran their prime mover on biodiesel, but availability was difficult, so it was not always an option.
Now, my point is that when the NRMA says ethanol is OK, people listen and trust them - they are well respected.
It would be a very good thing if the NRMA (and other appropriate motoring organisations in other states) would publicly say that biodiesel was OK.
Are there any NRMA members out there who would like to enquire about this?
    Robert.

Re: NRMA's public advice on biodiesel

On Paul Martin's recent T.V. escapades, the journalists got the head of RACV to say on national television that "he applauds backyard biodiesel manufacturers, but would ask them to be careful with what they are doing".
