  • Brisbane WVO Source

All, is anyone interested in some new sources of oil? This is like to be long term, and all are inner north-side - Brisbane.

Quantity is about 100l per month but I'm not 100% certain.

Three separate sources, but at two only pickup points.

PM me if you are interested.

Bump... I'm puzzled - thought these sources would be jumped on!

If my other recent thread is the concern, the fuel I was using was based only in part on these sources - in fact they were a minority part.

I don't believe those problems relate to the source oils.

If I don't get a response from anyone, I'm going to have to tell these restaurants they'll have to go to one of the major players for their removal.

I need to move as there is oil awaiting collection, this weekend.

      How do you collect ?

Sorry for the late request. I'm building my garden shed and don't have anywhere to store for the time being and I'm trying to pickup from 250 as well.

I'll flick you a PM and have a chat.

      regards

        G'day Gbossley,

I assume this oil is a goner, but does anyone have any sources going in Brisbane? I'm new, and on the hunt.

Sorry Pete, I've checked with the guy I handed my pickups over to, and he's using all the oil.

Good luck - one way to go is to keep a sharp eye out for new restaurants.

          Cheers,
          G.

            Pete

The oil collection that Gordon handed over is fairly good. I look out for restaurants that are happy to use good oil and change it regularly . I've tried to stay away from fish and chip shops unless they have better quality oil systems. Otherwise the oil titrates too high.

Some restaurants leave their oil out side in the rain like one of mine. It gets water in the drum and doesn't make for a good introduction when you get it home.

Hunt around for the back of shops. What area are you in and are you interested in coming along to a gathering of bio dieselers ? There is a get together this month 19th out willow bank way.

Cheers G, I figured it would be gone, just thought asking couldn't hurt.

Michael, thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make the get-together this weekend. I am out at my folks farm, harassing some cattle. I will definitely try to make the next one though. Looks like a bit of fun, and extremely informative.
