GOVERNMENT (Taxation; Incentives; Subsidies; Policies; Mandates)
1. China. Biodiesel demand to exceed production by 2010. China's annual demand for biodiesel is expected to reach 1 million tonnes in 2010, which is 20% more than the country's expected domestic biodiesel production volume.http://www.resourceinvestor.com/pebble.asp?relid=33620

3. Taiwan. Diesel sold at filling stations will have to contain 1 percent biofuel starting next year. Taiwan will use soybeans, sunflower seeds and recycled cooking oil to make biodiesel. http://biopact.com/2007/07/taiwan-targets-25-fold-increase-in.html
4. South Korea. State-owned Korea National Oil Corporation (KNOC) says that South Korea plans to raise biodiesel content in domestic diesel to 5% from the current 0.5% as early as 2008, if refiners' objections are overcome.

BIODIESEL PRODUCTION (Technologies)
1. USA.Syntroleum Corporation announced today that it has signed a contract to provide synthetic jet fuel made from a renewable bio-based feedstock to the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD). Under terms of the contract, Syntroleum will provide 500 gallons of ultra-clean renewable synthetic jet fuel produced entirely from fats supplied by Tyson Foods, using the company's recently announced Biofining technology. http://biopact.com/2007/07/syntroleum-to-deliver-bio-based.html
