Here is a 300D asking for $15000.

Maybe the body is gold plated.

Re: 1980 merc 300d

Nick,
Not quite, I see many each day - not all mine

I do have one which I bought a while ago, as a potential spare parts car. I tow started it and it ran fine, although I was unable to start it using the starter motor before towing it. Reverse gear is shot, but I have a W123 280E tranny which I can provide with the car.
The car cost me $400. I have renewed the registration until June/July.
I am asking $600 for it, plus $100 for the 280E tranny.

I doubt that I will get the time to work on it anytime soon and it is sitting in my driveway. I had to exterminate some paper wasps today, they has set up home under the bonnet. A nasty surprise for any prospective purchaser.

Regards,
Tony
