Just received some more 20 plate HE, just repeating the offer of free post for heat exchangers to any users of this forum (Australia only :-)

Geoff,

I am going to get another HE, can you advise the metal composition, if there is one without copper it would be good but bad in terms of heat trannsfer as copper is so good at it.

Will be trying them for solar hot water heat transfer! Also need a set of 1 micron filters to clean my bio.

these units are 316 stainless, they are copper brazed (as most of them are) but copper content is minimal.

I have sent a few on for solar water applications which is great. The shop might reject the coupon code when you buy because of the filter bags, if it does just ignore the postage make a note and I will adjust the invoice.

Small update:
30 plate smooth are all gone
If you are a brewer I have a good special on 20 "wort" heat exchangers for wort cooling - very effective from the feedback I have received.

I am also setting up some "express packs" consisting of HE, 2 filter bags and brass fittings. These will all fit in a standard 3kg satchel and will of course have a discount applied + the "biofuelsforum" coupon will work as well. (Should be going in the next couple of days)
