  1. Remove the sacrificial anode (requires a big socket and probably a breaker bar - they are usually pretty stiff) and then you will have a top opening. In my case I connected it to a hose that goes outside. You can't see it in the pictures.

    I saw your appleseed in utah diesel forum pics.

    In Australia we don't seem to have water heaters with top mount vents. How do you vent your reactor? As the yanks have 3 holes in the top of their heaters.
