| Does Melb Bio club exist? G'day guys, Great forum. I'm having difficulty contacting the Melb Biodiesel club in regards to a training day. I feel I need some hands on experience to balance the scales of confidence before I start production. I'm also keen on pinching some ideas on plant set up. I missed the Fed Square display due to work(bummer) |

| Re: Does Melb Bio club exist? Hi, Is it possible for someone from the Melbourne Bio Club to explain what Darren is talking about - I can't make head nor tails of it and I doubt that anyone else could either. Is it possible to just get the details as requested please? I don't mind if it comes from Darren or anyone else I am just a bit curious about what he is referring to. Is Mebourne Bio being absorbed into the ATA? Presumably Darren and possibly some others aren't too happy about this. Was this because the group had fallen over or because it was just better to throw your lot in with the ATA? As other people like myself are trying to set up local groups where they live a few tips of what to do and what not to do would be helpful for me. Thanks, Cameron |

| Re: Does Melb Bio club exist? Hi Cam, Yep, MBC is in the throws of being absorbed by the ATA. This has been primarily facilitated by Daniel, and some other members who found themselves in administrative positions of a club of people where nobody wanted to take the basic responsibilities of administration according to the basic rules of an INC. as set down by Consumer affairs. Oh well, At least some people got something out of all the hard work. The Thomas town plant "Fina Fuels", got to supply most of those in Melbourne who couldn't find BD, Paul Martin got himself in every media he could find including TV promoting himself and his own enterprise, Daniel set up "Conservo" as his own business, A fuel station dedicated to selling biofuels.. And I learned that maybe Socialism is dead, or at least the idea that a collective is stronger than an individual, isn't always true. Money Talks and Talk is cheap. Oh Yeah, and my Merc. 300D, "Helga die frituese frau" as my German mechanic calls her, is doing fine after burning B100 for over four years and 200 thousand K's. And I've made my own reactor plant that i seldom use since i can just buy fina's product (B100) for $1.08 a litre. And the price of WVO around Melbourne has gone from being a free waste product you could just find outside restaurants three years ago, to being worth $800 a tonne or $160 a 44 G./200 lt drum. |

| Re: Does Melb Bio club exist? it really is a shame when things go that way with greed. I hope all the self serving and corrupt rot in hell.
