| Help - excess of biofuel in the future? Hello to all the members here, I' m a new member here and I would like to ask something about the biofuel. I've once heard that there will be an excess of biodiesel in future. Is there any article or journal saying this? Thank you for your help. from Nette. |

| Re: Help - excess of biofuel in the future? I'd strongly doubt it with today's agricultural production and the world's current and future demand. I don't know of any journals that have said there will be an excess of biodiesel.

| Re: Help - excess of biofuel in the future? Nette, Are you talking about Malaysia, Australia or the world? Talking about Australia, if all the biodiesel plants that are currently in existence in Australia started pumping out biodiesel at maximum capacity they would be able to supply approximately 1.5% of this countries annual diesel needs. With biodiesel standards and manufacturing methods improving, and supplies of hydrocarbon diesel diminishing, the demand for Bd will increase and there will be a short supply of Bd.

| Re: Help - excess of biofuel in the future? I have no mean in the production side, but the government subcidities or intensives and the acceptance of the users. Yet, there are some places have already selling commercial Bd, but why is it still not yet heated up?? sorry for the narrow knowledge of mine and please enlighten me.. thank you |

| Re: Help - excess of biofuel in the future? Not sure of your question entirely. It is true perhaps that in some places in the world (perhaps Europe and the US) there are heavy subsidies and concessions to encourage biodiesel. It may also be true that some of these subsidies may miss the mark. Still, I would hardly imagine there could be enough biodiesel produced in any one place to make an excess of it considering the amount of fuel that everyone burns.

With that in mind, they perceive biodiesel as poor quality, inferior fuel with the potential to cause damage to their engine if they use more than 5%. And so sales of biodiesel are currently suppressed and or controlled by Governments that want to "protect the people from themselves". This will change as biodiesel standards are improved and dyno oil production starts declining.
