New Bio factory.

Sartor has announced a new Bio factory for Newcastle at Kooragang Island.
Taking over the old marine fuel storage containers.
Cost $37milloin dollars and will produce 52 megalitres of Biodiesel a year.
Will only be available to bulk users.
Does not say what they will use to produce the Bio.
If WVO is to be used, It might become hard for the hunter users to obtain in the near future.

Does anyone know what is happening with the Bio plant on the Central Coast.

Re: New Bio factory.

I'll bet Andrew Hill isn't too happy about this. His plant at Ruthersford is not that far away and the competition for feedstock is going to be even more fierce.

It may be him.
I forgot to mention 6 tenders were received for the project.

Re: New Bio factory.

Not a factory, but a Storage facility operated by Marstel, including the unloading of imported Biodiesel.

Manildra also has a plan for a refuelling and storage operation on an adjoining site that contains permission to produce Bio from imported feedstocks.

Just shows you you cannot believe everything you read in the newspaper.
