I am doing research for my Msc Thesis into the Biofuel industry. Anyone know where I can get a breakdown of international (or even national) market share by companies without paying $6000 for a market research report?

You could download their annual reports from their websites. that should give you a head start.

I suggest you search for review journal articles from what ever databases your University has access to (Science Direct/Scopus), I wouldn't use anything pre 2008 and take anything you find with a grain of salt. Nature had somthing early this year I think?

Alternatively, try searching for PowerPoint presentations on Goggle, often the big companies like showing off their market share (e.g. Abengoa - I saw one of theirs just the other week)...finding a couple of these and throwing them together could work well, but don't rely on just one. Again - 2008 only.

Also... try searching for the market report as a reference, i.e try finding other articles that have cited the market report and hopefully given you the information you're after.
