bio from animal fat?

anybody know if it is possible to make bio out of animal fat on a small scale? tyson has made a deal with exxon mobile to take the tallow from the tyson plant and make it into bio on a large scale, but can it be done efficently on a small scale?

Re: bio from animal fat?

Sure, I understand it can be done. Creates a bit more energy as it is a solid and needs to be heated to have anything done with it (moving from one container to another etc). But I have heard that it actually runs better in your car - more power, cleaner etc. Not sure if all this is right, I am about to run 100L through my processor next week.
