Re: Titration

Just buy Turmeric (indicator) from your local supermarket - it should come in powder form and is used in cooking.

Make your 1/1000 solution.

Follow standard titration procedures and you'll be fine.

Re: Titration

Search for "titration" on this forum and you will get thousands of posts.
Search for tumeric and you will get fewer
Use google to search this domain and you can do Phrase Searches so that your search for "titration procedure" or "titration method" will produce far better results. It will also allow to search for "titration method" and "tumeric" but not "phenolphthalein"
If that is what you wish to find.

Have fun searching.
Tony

Re: Titration

Hello Ryan,

For the easiest method of titrating you can not beat The World Famous Chopstick Titration technique (Pat Pend)

I found the chopstick method last night it looks great. Now I just need to secure some oil (not George W style).

Re: Titration

Hope you won't mind me saying as I'm a beginner too but I found the dvd which is free to view on the American site -- utah biodiesel who are suppliers -in a big way I think -he shows you all that's interesting in quite a clear manner & they are mass producers apparently. I thought it was nice to see it happening as is so to speak. When I saw the state of his mucky oil he was processing it made me feel better...... best regards all Mick
