Hydraulic oil......useable??

A friend has a sandstone quarry and has just offered me 800 litres of old hydraulic oil. I expect it is of no use, but thought I would pose the question anyway. Any thoughts?

Re: Hydraulic oil......useable??

Check out this old thread. No one has been game enough to buy the plans.
It does state hydraulic oil is also suitable.
Let us all know if you build one.

If you don't want it and he wants to off load it, I'll take a couple of hundred litres to play with. If it works as I expect, I may take it all.

I would not use it in your car but you could try this (link)

Remember this is still not and environmentally friendly thing to do as that is our goal here , If you use bio in one of these and all would be good
