| bio, fuel/oil mix or straight veg oil? hello im new to this forum but think its a fantastic idea! i have many questions and any help would be much appreiated. i have a 95 nissan patrol 4.2lt (turbo'd shortly) i was wondering the best way to go. i have an oil supply and want to start making bio or run the car on striaght veg oil. i have just starting mixing filted veg oil with diesel and im told a 50/50 mix is fine but im a bit concerned about excessive carbon build up and the long term effect. its still very early but so far so good. i have only mixed approx 60d/40oil can i run straight veg oil using a convertion heating kit and use only one tank? will cold starts and carbon build up be an issue? will this effect the life of the engine, injector pump, injectors etc? is it safer (engine wise) to make bio instead of running on straight oil? cheers |
