Re: Mist Washing?

A hose connected to a length of black poly pipe, that sits on top of the drum and has 4 fine misting heads along it's length.

Re: Mist Washing?

Thanks Sean , would they be the same sprayers you would buy from a hardware store and screw into the poly pipe for garden irrigation.

Re: Mist Washing?

Hi,

I don't worry about misting. I just throw in some water, stir it up with a paddle for a few minutes until well mixed and then let it settle for an hour before draining. Repeat this 3-4 times and it's done. I have never had a problem with emulsions, I don't lose any yield with the short settling times and I can wash a batch in about 4 hours. It's a quick and easy way to wash as long as you got a good complete reaction when you made the stuff. Give it a go.
