Kerosene tank for storage

I have been offered a 1200x1200x300 used kero tank for storage of my bio fuel. It is the type which used to adorn walls around the place and was used for home heating oil.
I do not know what the tank is made of and as yet I have not seen it, I understand it is in good condition and a quantity of kerosene was only recently drained from it.
Is anyone aware of any reasons why it would not be suitable for storage?

Re: Kerosene tank for storage

It would be good for storage - I have an old oil heater tank I use - but old oil heaters actually used diesel as fuel. I don't know of kerosene being used in such heaters, but in any case a bit of kero never hurt anyone. Take it and ensure it is clean inside, then enjoy!....

I use one to store my WVO. If you're going to use it you'll need to clean it throughly, I've found the ones I've accessed have all had heaps of crud on the bottom.
