Nasty WVO

I have been making good bio for a few months now. I receive my WVO in 2 gal totes and let it settle an decant the first half or so and put the remainder in a 500gal slop tank. I have dewatered and filtered the slop oil and it smells bad and looks like coffee except quite oily (clear brown). The titration is 32, so trying two stage acid/base. I found some recipes but so far my test batches have turned to soap . Solid at room temp.
Cooking at 135F
added 7ml conc H2SO4/ liter
and 120 ml MeOH/ liter
mixed acid with alcohol first.
cooked for 2 hour
cooled and titration dropped to 10
do I start over with the MeOH and H2SO4 until I get the titration lower?

You're using way too much H2SO4. It should be around 1ml/Litre.
Visit the infopop forum and search for acid/base method or search for posts by D. Kenny.

pelican geewitzoo right 7 ml per litre is a lot mind you 32 to 10 is not bad, as gee said visit those sites and read i usually use a multiplier of .15 to 2, your using .23 this will produce alot of water which you will need to drain and add that amount of meth back again, keep at it AE is worth the effort. I just finished two batches tit at 10 and 12 down to 3 then to base using koh

Re: Nasty WVO

Thanks for the good info. My first test batch made but did not wash well. I will keep trying and let you know how it goes.
