    Hey Sean.

Saw your posts about setitng up your stationery engine to feeback to the grid. If it is an old Lister etc they will run very well on SVO thus saving you the approx. 40 cents per litre on producing BIO.

In terms of feeding to the grid, i have done the following with mine

    1) Standard gen head that puts out single phase - around 5KVA
    2) I feed the output of this into somre very big switched mode power supplies that produce 1200 watts DC.
    3) I then pump that into a couple of micro inverters rated at 1200 watts each.

The beauty of this is i can feed it to all my house equipment through my main switchboard and still be in synch with the grid. When the house load is less i use a relay to switch the out of the Micro Inverters across to the outbound leg of my Solar panel array (this part is a grey area though)

    Craig
