    Hi Greg,

3 way ball valves were a special order from Enzed in Osborne Park. they are 90°C action as opposed to the normal 180° action of regular three way valves.

Brian pulled the handle off them and found a nice square 10mm shaft. It was then a perfectly simple operation to find some electric window winder motors, make a joining piece, source and install limit switches, add a hard stop lever to stop overun, design and instal LED's so they would light up when the valve was in position, not just when the switch was in position, build a Jaycar temperature controller to drive the relays that drive the valves, weld everything into position, mount them in the car, wire and plumb them up. Took about half an hour all up. :-)

I tell you, they are some pieces of gear. My initial idea was to keep the electrics out of it and use push pull cables on the 3 way valve, being 90° turn that was possible and not with a 180° turn valve. But Brian's a bit like you and convinced me to go automatic.
