Yes, after some initial pessimism that we might not have the required expertise there, I was proven wrong and I think that our first meeting was productive and showed hope.

Now, I've just got to get around to organising the next steps. I'll do it this week and I'll send out an email to those of you with all our contact details in it as promised. Brian will be sorting out a business plan. By the next time we meet, we should be that little bit closer to getting this off the ground.

No, sorry, nothing ever ended up happening. There was some initial enthusiasm (and thanks to everyone who came), but at the end of the day when the hard slog was needed, not enough people would put their shoulders to the wheel to make it happen. Sad but true.

Unfortunately at Illabunda of late we have been pretty well overwhelmed getting the DA for the project through council (still not approved) and other approving bodies as well as establishing the Illabunda community itself and so have had to let the biodiesel project slip. That and some other renewable energy projects we have in mind will have to wait until the village is established before we can get back onto them.
