Anyone have any extra WVO for a needy traveller?

Hello Sydney bio-ers,
While I'm in Austraila, I am attempting to travel up the east coast on Biodiesel. I've stopped in Sydney for a few days and am in need of some more WVO to get me on my way. If anyone could help me out, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Dave

Hi Bio Popo,

If you travel up the QLd coast, depending on how much you require I feel obliged to try and assist. Purely dependant on your quantity needs.
Fellow Forum members, something to remember (within the forum) that at times we all could find ourselves on the road, out of range of our own resources. One can only carry so much when travelling distances. I would like to hear other people's thoughts about what we could possibly do about this. All are not striaght WVO users so there are other issues. Just a thought , I have some ideas but would like to hear some other views. There are some limited possibilities for some people. I have been impressed with the cooperation on this forum (Well Done Robert!!!) you started something off for sure. I never fail to be impressed with the forum cooperation, well! how about some lateral thinking.

Bio, I have just started collecting WVO for my (yet to be built) processor. I only have about 40L of unfiltered, untested cottonseed oil so far, but you're welcome to it if it is any use.

I'm in Berowra Heights so wouldn't be far out of your way if you're on the road to Newcastle.

PM me if you're interested.

Hey everyone, I don't know how long it will be until Bio Popo checks back in here, but he did depart for warmer latitudes (Byron Bay and further) some time ago. I did give him some biodiesel (well, jcaley actually ), which had been generously donated to me by some dude anyone_have_any_extra_wvo_needy_traveller-biodonation.jpgwho was making it at the ATA Alternative Motor Show anyone_have_any_extra_wvo_needy_traveller-biodonation2.jpg(who I have still not seen offer his equipmentanyone_have_any_extra_wvo_needy_traveller-bioreactor.jpg in here ).

I also gave him 20L of WCO as well.

After a few non-fuel related problems with his car, he headed North and we've not seen him since. Bio... are you still around?

Re: Anyone have any extra WVO for a needy traveller?

I'm still here!
hahah, even back in Sydney! Byron bay was absolutely wonderful, and thanks to the generosity (which I have seen so often on this trip) from matt, I made my back down the coast with a brief stopover in Myall's national park to do some camping.
But now my trip is coming to an end....I leave to go back to Canada in a couple of weeks and now just have to find a buyer for my car and head down to Melbourne to fly out.
So yes, I'm still alive, and doing splendidly,

Dave

Glad you made it back Dave and glad to hear that some other forum members helped you out on your travels too. If you are still around in Sydney in a month, you should come to our picnic, otherwise, I think there are a few events for the Melboure club you'd be welcome at. If not, then have a good flight and I'm sure you'll do some good for the biodiesel scene in Canada.

I was interested in the setup of the picture on the right. Is that tank used for heating the oil or is it a small portable reactor for holiday travel?
