    1000L. IBC Cubies

I have 3 X 1000Litre IBC containers that have been used for oil storage. They are in perfect condition as they spent most of their lives in my shed.
$100 for the 3 or $40 each. Or if you are tighter...

    Re: Golden Rod Filter Elements

    Hi Jens,
That filter looks identical to the Goldenrod; they should fit O.K.
I have some oil that is also looking for a home. [1500l. in cubes].
    Are you still in Canberra?

    1000l IBC

I have a few 1000L IBC's that are surplus to my requirements. They have been used for storing used veg. oil.
They have been cleaned and are in good condition but would be best used for oil storage....

Re item '3' and EGT probe placement - what is it you want to measure; exhaust gas temperature or turbo outlet temperature? The temperature of the gas leaving the turbo is very much lower than the...

    Re: Turning up the fuel

You should fit an EGT gauge if you are fiddling with fuel and boost. Buy a quality gauge and mount the probe as close to the exhaust ports as possible i.e. in the exhaust manifold. As for safe EGT...

    Re: Turning up the fuel

Just did a bit of research on sled pulling engines - 100 to 200 psi boost is common and up to 300 psi using 4 turbos was mentioned. They tear engine blocks apart quite frequently!

    Re: Turning up the fuel

20psi would be very modest. I run an F250 [7.3l V8] fitted with a 4" turbo that will easily boost to 30 psi.
It needs to be driven with one eye on the EGT gauge and the other on the tacho - redline...

    Re: Turning up the fuel

What you are suggesting can never occurr when over fueling a diesel engine. In the extreme, as a result of very high combustion and EGT temperatures, the excess fuel combusts in the exhaust manifold...

    Re: Turning up the fuel

That is petrol engine stuff! Quite the opposite is true when overfueling a Diesel - Excess fuel = higher EGT"s

    Re: Qb60 pump and methoxide?
