    Re: Forum had a hiccup

    Hi Robert,

I would like to contribute to your efforts by flicking you a few bucks now and then, as I have improved my bio processes by learning from this site. Would you like to reinstate a 'donation' link or something so we can help out?

    Cheers,

Just testing image uploads.. Seems to be OK now. There should be 1 image attached.

Cade - I'll consider adding the link back in.

        Robert,
Thanks for your sterling efforts at short notice in getting the Forum working again.
I also have now started using the "What's New" button. Different functionality, but it is easy to use and does the job I need it to.

When I opened the thumbnail, I thought that I had done something wrong - the image confused me for a few seconds until I realised where you got the image from - Screen Dump?

        Keep up the good work

Not working for me today.... I'm rebuilding the search index, so the forum may run a little sluggishly for the next few hours. Hope this fixes it.

For those of you that asked about reinstating the donations link - seems to be not so easy in this new version. The forum is ad supported now anyway, so if you wanted to show your support, click on a few ads.

                  HAHA!
Me too. I didn't even realise there were any ads here!

I put on Ad blocker mainly to save my time ( and Sanity) with all those annoying as hell intro ad's on you tube.
Looks like it's working better than literally realised.

Pretty easy just to stick a paypal donation link in the header?

                              Re: Forum had a hiccup

I keep getting these pop up windows that take me away from what I'm writing and telling me my submission could not be processed.

3-4 times per post is getting too frustrating to be bothered here especially the time this has been stuffing up.

Sorry Robert but I have come to a much less satisfactory opinion of the host than you hold. I have never seen this many stuff ups with any host I have had and I have 4 sites all of which handle more traffic than this one.
While I understand your reluctance to change, it may well take a lot less of your time in the long run and almost certainly be a damn site less frustrating for the forum users.

That is strange, I get no pop ups when posting, but then, I am using Firefox and have pop ups turned off.
