| Barb in Copper and Aluminum??
Is there a tool that I can create a barb on a copper or aluminum pipe? I usually just slip on the hose but want to create a barb on it for safety. Or if you have a better idea I would love to hear it.

Yes This is what I use too. A flair tool. It will creat a bubble at the end of the pipe. They are around AU$150. If it is a one off job you want done then you better find a local fittings/plumbing place near you and get them to do i for you. Should not cost you more than $5. that is if you can take the pipe out of the vehicle or if it is fitted in the vehicle but within enough reach. Good luck

photo of the croxing tool and tube cutter...I have used it on copper tubing. Crox tool has 3 ball bearings which are forced outward when tee-handled is screw in. To operate, back off handle....insert in tube .....screw handle in....rotate until desired crox is formed. Pictured is a 3/4 inch model, I have a 1/2" somewhere also.
