dagwill is an unknown quantity at this point
finaly got this one tank two tank long range tank sorted

started out with 2 tank syst. with a 10ltr start up tank under the bonet, but after a bush trip with a mate carrying an extra 8 20ltr containers,i thought this is --ap
so after much thought i ripped off the bull bar and bumper, procured 2 house gas bottles from a test station[minus valves to make the transaction leagal]
after a few measurements i cut the desired amount from the top of each cylinder and welded the 2 bottoms together[not forgetting to insert baffels to stop [sloshing]
so now i use the main tank as start up [handy because you have a fuel guage]and the 160 ltr svo tank witch sits horizontal just below the headlights, with a transparent level inicator on one side.
all plumbed in with a couple of gas solenoids[remember appetures are larger on liquid fuel than gas on dual fuel set ups at wreckers]
now dont forget the 10ltr start up tank that i started with under the bonet[still there] so i plumbed that in with a maunal valve on it. normally i dont use it at all but if i go on a trip ,i fill both the 160ltr tank and the original tank with svo and use the 10ltr tank as a temporary start up tank
by putting 160kg of fuel plus tank wieght 40kg over the front axel it balances the weight normally loaded in the back in any trip
before i would have the back weighrd down and the front in the air now i feel it is far better balanced and safer.

hey you cant have a gas tank out the front in the crash zone.
its not a gas tank its cooking oil thats food not fuel

spelling is a bugger once youve opened that second bottle

Excellent!
I have 180L (useable) veg in back and 90L (80 useable) Bio in front.
Would love to have 260L veg and a small bio tank under bonnet for long trips.

Love it. Being quite thick steel it should hold up well in any accident, mind you better you than me chatting to the boys in blue about it.
