    Biodiesel on engine mounts?

Hi I just changed my first filter in my Rodeo after making my own bio. I managed to spill some on the engine mount - it didn't occur to me until after I'd done it that this might be a problem.

Should I be concerned? Is there anything I can do about it?

    Cheers,
    Ben

Yes be very carefull. Biodiesel will cause damage to the rubber of the engine mounts.

It is also not recommended to spill any kind of oil on engine mounts.

You better keep engine bay clean and cover the area under the filter before changing it.

    Good luck.

Wash the biodiesel, or other oil/fuel, off the engine mount as soon as possible using a soap and water solution, or degreaser, to remove it thoroughly.

    Regards,
    Tony
