mazda b2500 not shutting off

went on a trip down to tassie using my bio and when i got to melbourne went to turn the engine off and it just keeps on running.
now i know there is a solinoid in the ip that shuts the fuel off when you turn the ignition key off but that dosent seam to be happening, i even disconected the wire at the solinoind and it made no difference.
now can bio say clog up this soilnoid or something to make it stop working or is it something else. anyone have any experiance with this at all as i have to stall the car in gear to stop the engine now and that not good for it.
thanks

A mate who uses my bio had the same problem. the plunger was fine, the solenoid had a bit of an issue. In the end I dont think it was a big job to repair from what I remember.....

The car is trying to tell you to keep going, don't leave me here stopped in Melbourne...

Sorry just couldn't help myself. It sounds to me like some Krudd has gotten under the solinoid plunger stopping it doing it's job. Very carefully remove the solinoid, and clean it out. May also be a little fine screen in there.

I've done over 30,000km with B100 in my b2500 without any problems, it actually runs better.

Hope this helps. Don't blame the bio

Marcus

i agree with marcfell, ive also done more than 30km using b2500 and it works fine. i think bio is not the main problem maybe you should try to clean your solinoid then after that examine it again. if the problem still there try to consult your car expert technician..

Re: mazda b2500 not shutting off

found what was wrong .. the rubber seal on end of the plunger in the fuel shut off solinoid had been nibbled away on one edge so it was letting fuel thru all the time... now how this could of happened im not sure the seal feels like rubber but im assuming its viton as such the bio should not affect it at all ( ive been running on and off on bio for 2 yrs but prob only 20000ks on bio all up) so if the bio not affects it mabey its just age.. how long does everyone elses last in other deisels...
now if not bio and not age maybe it very fine stuff getting past all filters and just wore it away!!!!!

Stalling to stop won't do any harm. I reckon the seal is probably not viton. Never heard of one wearing out before.
