  • L.P.G conversion coming soon

    giday all,
    I am just getting all my bits together to convert the f250 to run on gas, i will be installing an 80lt cylinder and a computer with a steper motor, the lpg will be running through a converter as vapour then into the air intake and into the massive turbo and hopefully a heap more power.
    Any coments? as long as they don't start with "me mate did that and blew up his engine" {then we find that he was using a barbie bottle and a hose into the intake.}
    cheers mark

    I've converted a '73 F100 300CID and an '85 F100 351 to LPG and it rocks.
    However, what has this got to do with SVO? Are you talking about running the LPG to fumigate the diesel engine?

        You should have a chat to Terry Syd, he's been looking into this too. Look forward to hearing the results.

          giday robert,
          We are also converting a new diesel hilux to run lpg fumigation, this has got me thinking about blokes with the smaller diesels with injector coking problems, apparently the lpg burns any exccess diesel or cooking oil resulting in a cleaner burn, i will post some details and pics when i do the conversion.
