Considering purchasing a 1992 or 1993 Toyota Hilux Surf - Experiences and thoughts?

Well I was 2 days too late to purchase Robert's freelander and on his advice, I am also considering a Toyota Hilux Surf.

Can anybody please share their experiences with this vehicle (1992 or 1993) and running it on BD?

All thoughts, stories (even hearsay ), experiences, advice, etc are more than welcome as my next vehicle purchase will my first experience with BD.

Can't comment on the BD side as I haven't got around to it yet but a few guys are running them on it. If you do buy a surf try and get a manual, you will pay a bit more but it's worth it. Have a look at this site if you haven't already been there ToyotaSurf Australia Site
