  • What Vehicle? Help please

I am keen to get a Pajero and get it converted to Bio diesel?

Other vehicles I'd look at is a Hilux
and maybe an Isuzu bighorn and anything else you suggest.

At the moment I am cycling and letting the missues drive
the petrol Mitsubishi good for the waste line and the environment.

Was looking at going for LPG but Bio diesel sounds like the business.

Basically I'd do one mid week trip in the vehicle 40k max
and them drive it at weekends off road on the beach
or towing the Boat 750kg plus dual axle trailer + gear
    maybe 1200-1500kg max

Going to make contact with the Kiwi Biodiesel people
but any advice or Comments would be appreciated.

    Regards

    Matt

I'm tossing up between a Pajero and a Jackaroo at the moment, so maybe that's another one for you to look at, as it's in the same class as the Pajero.

Once upon a time there was a japanese 4X4 made by Isuzu. They didn't know what to call it... In Australia they called it "Jackaroo", in some other markets it was "Trooper", and in still others it was "Big Horn". Something about General Custer I think.

Now Matt is in Auckland and I don't know if the above is still true (or ever was true for NZ), but maybe you guys are talking about the same thing??

For what it's worth, the guy who runs the biodiesel factory at Rutherford (NSW) drives a Pajero that he says has been on his B100 since new...

I have just put my forth tank of B100 in my 87 toyota landcruiser and I have had no problems, but maybe somebody can explain why my fuel usage increased between the second and third tank but has dropprd back down. ie 11.1 to 14.3 and now back to 11.1 Ltrs/100klms.
So far there have been no weeping, and I have notice that it is running smoother than it has been, and it is now idling faster (this I put down to the flushing effect) VERY HAPPY - Bob
