  • Washing wvo with washwater to dewater

    I've tried this in a clear bottle and it seems to settle out water easier in badly water contaminated oil it seems to get water out of suspension then just siphon out
    any ideas or has this been tried before?

    What do you mean by "washwater"? Is that dishwashing or washing machine water?

      Or could it be that you mean the Washwater from washing BD? Which would have some methanol etc still in it.

          Yeah, I thought that's what you meant, but wanted to be sure. I suspected that I broke an emulsion easier when I re-used some wash water from a 2nd wash once before, but never really got a chance to re-test the theory. I just wanted to try lots of things, but it broke fairly quickly Good to see you have had the same experience, although in a smaller test. Will have to try it further.
