  • Seeking ULP Fuel Stabiliser Recipe

I've had a few problems with my ride on mower lately and stale ULP. I now buy fuel stabilser as it sits for long periods of time without use. Does anyone have a home made recipe they use that does the same as the commercial blends?

    Regards

Re: Seeking ULP Fuel Stabiliser Recipe

Mowers have vented petrol caps. This lets the fumes out and the air and moisture in.
Try putting some glad wrap or other plastic under the lid when you are finished it to seal it. I have also used rubber "corks" from clarke rubber to seal the tanks with and without the plastic.
I find it makes the petrol say fresh a lot longer.
Dont forget to take the plastic or bung out when you use the mower again.
Also turn the fuel off when you are finished and let the thing use all the fuel up so it doesn't sit in the carby and go off and leave gum.
