  • This Forum's Hosting Migration

    Hi Forum Users,

My hosting provider has needed to move their server/datacentre provider, which will require me moving over the forum to a new location. (It will be hosted out of Germany and not the US.) The changeover should be pretty quick and with very minimal disruption, but it will be up to your ISP as to how long they take to refresh/update their DNS records. From past experience, 95% of them will change almost immediately, or within minutes, but some (usually Telstra/Bigpond) may take up to 48 hours. I will do this move tomorrow (3/1/17) sometime in the morning (AEST). I will shutdown the forum with a message advising the progress before I move things. I'll also update in here once completed.

OK, seems to be done now! Turns out that the timing caught me by surprise and I didn't do the normal "close off" message. Seems to be OK, but please let me know if you have any issues. Also, if there have been any old issues still hanging around, I might be able to get them fixed now in this new server environment this is now running in, so please let me know.

Would anyone care to add to the wish list for Robert to deal with?
        I would like:
        • the attachments facility to be working correctly.

                      Thanks Robert.
