I was talking to a fella about Supercritical CO2 extraction yesterday and he mentioned a species of algae that produces "alkane" oil as opposed to triglyceride oil.
Alkane oil apparently does not need any further processing once extracted from the algae.
Does anybody have any idea what he was talking about?
