State Sen. Dean Florez wants to offer incentives to California farmers to grow crops to produce bio-diesel. Engines that run on diesel fuel were originally designed to run on vegetable oil and can run on recycled oils from animal fats as well. Florez introduced seven bills to offer tax breaks to farmers and researchers to develop crops that can be used to make bio-diesel.
